Yvonne & Bill wanted a very vintage Hawaiian feel to their day so there was no better place than the Sugarhouse in Hailiimaile. It once was part of the Sugar Plantation and served as the manager’s house. Still today, you have to drive through a sugar cane field to find the gem. With beautiful and mature tropical trees and a distant oceanview, the home is perfect for those couples wanted to experience true Hawaii.
Guests were greeted with Passion Guava juice and fresh cut pineapple, while listening to the sounds of an ukulele. Vintage postcards served as a guest book and the children husked coconuts as a form of entertainment. The altar was highlighted with an existing white arbor adorned with tropical foilage and blooms straight from the home and the aisle was lined with fragrant plumeria. Yvonne & Bill chose a religious ceremony with Hawaiian touches like the Lei Exchange and Sand Ceremony.
Following the ceremony, ladies grabbed parasols and guests enjoy sunset during the cocktail hour. After the sun went down everyone heading into the home, for an intimate dinner for 20. The dinner was a four course menu of comfort foods accented with pacific rim flavors and for dessert guests had the choice of Kona coffee cake with macadamia nuts and chocolate chips, or Traditional wedding cake with a passionfruit filling. At the end of the night, Yvonne surprised Bill with his favorite dessert, good old fashioned apple pie. The couple chatted, laughed and at the end of the night were serenaded by a Hawaiian vocalist and Polynesian dancers in traditional costume.

Vizcaya Museum with photos by Erik Clausen
Coordination by A Joy Wallace Catering Production and Design Team
{located in Miami, Florida}
With its phenomenal human-made and natural resources, Vizcaya was built in the 1910’s, a decade in which Gilded Age cultural standards were enlivened by the irreverent spirit of the dawning Jazz Age. It also introduces visitors to Miami’s place in this history - a time when America’s wealthiest industrialists created lavish homes inspired by the palaces of Europe.

Greenville Country Club is located approximately 10 miles west of Wilmington, Delaware in the rolling hills of Northern Delaware. The Clubhouse building was originally the residence of Eugene du Pont and was the centerpiece of his 220-acre estate. The residence and 17 acres of surrounding land were purchased in 1961 by an enterprising group of families who pooled their resources and energies to form the Greenville Country Club.
